I rediscovered my morning workouts this past week. Working out every morning except Thursday and Sunday. I've gotten up to 3.3 miles in 30 minutes (without resistance). I also did a 40 minute strength training on Tuesday, which had me sore all the way till Friday. Saturday morning I spent the whole day mowing the lawn and doing yard work. I kept my heart rate monitor on the whole time and at the end of the work, found that I burned close to 800 calories out in the heat.
As of this morning's weigh in I'm 10.4 lbs away from my goal with 15 weeks to hit it. I will by far meet (if not beat) that goal. I'd love to make it before the end of July, but that would put me with 4 weeks and that's a stretch. So I'll settle for August then. Interesting note, the 50 lb total loss mark is coming up soon.
So thus far its 45.6 lbs lost. I haven't done my measurements in two weeks. Mainly because i haven't seen much change recently. I'll do these tomorrow morning and update if there's any significant change.
I've become very good at restaurant menu reading now. I immediately look for soup and salad menu items and if I'm not interested in that I go for grilled chicken or fish and lots of veggies on the side. Its really helped me to keep the calories down and not feel guilty after.
Nothing too much more interesting to report on the weight loss end. I'm still trucking along doing my daily workouts and trying as much as I can to be active. Onward!
