Week 40, Day 280:
Last week was a GREAT week for me. I worked out everyday last week and included some fun, different exercises like swimming, circuit training, etc. Thanks to the YMCA for the one week guest pass for me and my hubby! Its getting more and more difficult to get to 350 calories burned on the elliptical. I've started doing interval training to try throw my body a curve ball. It seems to be working thus far. I may need to start working out twice a day to keep the pace going and really hit this last goal. If that's the case that'll mean no skipping morning workouts! I skipped this morning becuase I was so sleepy. Morning workouts require me to get to bed on time the night before, so we'll see how that goes.
I ate very very well, making sure to not go to high on my calories and keeping my nutrients at 25% fat, 50% carb, and 25% protein. I've fallen in love with The Gladiator at Smoothie King. It's about 200 calories and 45g of protein. It's a great lunch and has really helped me to boost up the protein and keep the cals low. Saturday my bff and I sat and ate some boiled crabs, so I was worried my weigh ins would be a little high just due to the salt. Then Sunday night I snacked on some yummy spinach and artichoke dip and Raisinets (my favorite). The beauty of it is I knew I could eat it guilt free, knowing that I had plenty of calorie space to spare.
Thus far I've lost 50 lbs and have 6 lbs to go. I've lost 8.25" off my waist. 7.5" off my hips, and 3" off my arm. The above picture is my "No Going Back!" pants with my newest jeans (size 18). For better comparison here's a close up.
I spent the better part of the day Sunday going through my clothes and tossing out the ones that didn't fit anymore. It was pretty bittersweet actually. Some of the clothes I have I really enjoyed and wished I had them in just a smaller size. However, the longer I keep them around the more they annoy me, lol. But nevertheless, I packed them up and will be giving them to a friend who is on a similar weight loss journey (Good luck, Sarah!) My sister did the same for me when I started losing, I have bags of clothes from her in the next sizes just waiting for me to catch up.
I wore shorts this weekend.
