Review: 22 Days Nutrition Bars

I'm not generally a "protein bar/nutrition bar" type of person. I love full meals. But after having all the free swag from Fitbloggin '11 and a lack of groceries in the house, I brought some of the bars to work with me and tried them out.

@MiddleAgedJock was gracious enough to hand me a couple of 22 Days Nutrition Bars to try out. Not being adverse to ingesting things that are free, I course accepted the challenge.

My first was the Nut Butter Buddha and sadly I forgot to take a picture of that.
This was good! Like sinful good.

It's hard to believe it's actually nutritious for you when its coated in chocolate. I gobbled up the whole thing and felt really good about my mid-afternoon snack. And what's even better about it, is that this is a Vegan bar. The ingredients are "readable" you won't find any unnatural products in this. AND the nutrition isn't bad: 230KC, 13g or fat, 22g of carbs and 10g protein. Not bad for a nutrition bar, and not too bad for a delicious desserty snack. I'd love to have these in my house for those chocolate cravings. I could eat this guilt-free knowing that it was good for my body.

That brings us on to the Enlightened Pumpkinseed... how to I put this delicately...

I'm a Buddha fan, but perhaps I am not enlightened.

This bar didn't like me, and I didn't like it. The feelings were mutual.

But not to worry, dear readers, to each his own. I'm not a big fan of Pumpkin, cashews, or hemp seed and this bar is chock full of that. But I digest...

Upon checking out their website they have many different products (some of which I heard other Fitbloggin folks found scrumptious). Like Fruit Nut Karma, Cherry Chocolate Bliss, Daily Mocha Mantra.... all which of sound delectable and I'm interested to try. You can purchase them directly from their website, Amazon, or directly at Whole Foods or Vitamin Shoppe. I definitely will be.

So check them out and let me know which flavor you like best!

For the record this is a not a sponsored or paid post. These are simply my opinions based on freebies I was given. I do hope to be entered for their sweepstakes with this blog post, but that does not affect my writing. These expressions are my own. I blog with integrity.
