Day 6 (The #Paleo Challenge) #GoDW

Wednesday Motivation

Weigh-in this morning: 196.8 (lbs) 2 lbs down.
Only slightly sore from yesterday's HIIT class at the gym yesterday. Which is pretty shocking, but when I go regularly (at least once a week) I think my body is more used to the wear and tear on my muscles. Did some amazing yoga poses (below) and ate some great food. Besides Monday when I felt a bit tired, it's amazing the amount of energy I'm feeling with the lack of refined sugars, carbohydrates, etc. I don't get ravenously hungry and with eating every 2-3 hours, I'm always satisfied. So it's going well!

My birthday is only a few short days away, and I'm excited to par-tay, but also to have a free day from planning.  Here's a look back at some of my previous birthday posts... look for 2013 post this Friday! ;-)
2012 - Birthday Post
2011 - Unbucket List
2010 - Week 17

  • Two eggs over medium with Mashed cauliflower (it's like grits!)
  • Coffee with 2 tbs coconut milk (one stevia - my one cheat)
Mid-Morning Snack:
  • Watermelon
  • Ostrim
  • Leftover Coconut Curry Turkey on Kale with Steamed Broccoli
Mid-Afternoon Snack:
  • Grapefruit
  • Almonds
  • Not sure yet, but I have a pound of ground turkey at home and some real bacon that needs to be eaten cooked up. :-)

Monday evening I did a couple of miles on the treadmill and yesterday I did my strength class.  So this morning I slept in a bit and allowed my body some "healing time."  May hop on the elliptical this evening for a short run, but nothing too strenuous   Planning another strength class Thursday evening and a morning run on Friday.

Check out the amazing progress I'm making in my #YogaADay challenge!

The #Paleo Challenge is awesome!  Make sure you cheer me on by commenting below or tweeting with the hashtag #GoDW.

  1. Great going! I am not doing Paleo, but I am doing low-carb / low-sugar right now, and I am feeling great as well! Keep up the good work!

  2. Happy early birthday! I'm really impressed with how well your yoga moves are improving. I'm not doing any kind of food challenge right now (ha, eating at my calorie level is challenge enough for me), but I'm cheering you on!

  3. Dear gawd, your breakfast sounds awesome. And that Jan '13 Yoga pose! Love it! It looks so body-artsy 'n stuff.

  4. Love the yoga poses! Congrats on all the progress. hope you have an AMAZING birthday! :)

  5. Congrats on the weight loss AND on the yoga progress! It's really noticeable and very impressive!
